Go Volcano Chant
How to Use in Your Classroom
- Play before or during a volcano model eruption for extra excitement.
- Use as a mnemonic for the stages of volcanic activity.
- Have students create hand motions for each line, especially shake like an earthquake when you get to “An earthquake rocks the crust.”
- Integrate into Earth Science units alongside hands-on models.
Lyrics
Go Volcano — Go Go Volcano —
Go Volcano — Go Go Volcano —
The magma’s underground —
The gas is building up —
An earthquake rocks the crust —
And the mountain will erupt!!
